It is a very basic specification, but very functional layout, it drive very well. The interior is dark, but there is a sound logic to it when approaches of night, as well as on the day. You feel parts of the cars rather than just “in” it. Weight control is good even if you do notice the weight, which is not any bad thing and add to the feeling of be at one with it. Steering can be a bit vague in the center of it, but turning in the lock has adequate feel. Driver seats are comfortable and there are and to airy feel to the cabins no comp. More than enough for most I would say.

With a similar sound in the idle to a 2.0 GTI, pretty meaty, the 1.8v engine is considerably good. It’s easy to drive in less than 30 mph and great low down torque. A speed in the A-road is excellent for what is not requiring any change of gear from all the flow of traffic. This car will happily pull from 10-15 mph in 3rd, 25 mph in 4th gear and 5th gear from 30 mph upwards. 106 lb/ft arrives at 3300rpm is the manufacturer’s clam, though there are plenty with before that. At about 5400rpm is it delivers power smoothly from there on in it hits. In isolation, is well conducted and whether the well can hold their own in the speed of 70-90 mph Upon changing gears it fall straight into the torque pool and full throttle is not always necessary to achieve progress.

However, it’s very easy to spin the wheel in front of the wet conditions and humid conditions can torque steers if not careful in the first gear. Takes a while to get used to changing gear, but you used to it, it inspires confidence. This cars, although slightly slated and underestimated in recent years has a good mixture of the elements to it and i think the lack of ultimate powers is minus, but still on our tight, twisty road the shorts gearing makes up for it. It is idle burbling adds a little character and fuel consumptions is good about 35mpg. Boot space disappointing as well as the security standard. If you buy a decent MK3 is a good example. It has an owner for 8 years and was company car before that, the full history of service and all the stamps.
